Jeff, the founder and Executive Director of J.E. Cunningham & Associates, is a graduate of Bentley College. He has a vast background in management consulting, tax services and leadership experience. Jeff has 30+ years of tax and financial planning experience as a CPA. He was the regional director for a national consulting firm and has worked with notable clients such as Gulf Oil and British Tire & Rubber. Jeff also held a seat on the Governors Board for Banking Reform.
THOMAS CUNNINGHAM, MBA, EA
Tom earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and went on to begin his professional career in the tax and accounting field. He specializes in tax strategy, CFO-level planning, mergers and acquisitions, post-merger integrations, supervisory training, management systems and controls, and ERP systems. Thomas has worked hands-on in the industry as the General Manager of a manufacturing facility for three years and has extensive experience in manufacturing, quality, research and development, and process improvement.
RYAN FOLEY, MBA, CVA, EA
Ryan Foley is a Partner at C&A. Ryan has helped clients through every phase of the business life cycle as a small business consultant and trainer for well over a decade. Ryan believes that all challenges can be broken into manageable parts and best addressed in an organized, practical manner. He is able to maintain a unique bond with clients through his experience sitting on both sides of the table. He has actively participated as CEO, CFO, sales manager, operations manager, controller and various other business capacities for his clients. He understands the balance between planning, implementation and the occasional, but often necessary, change in direction. Ryan excels in sales strategy and methods, tax planning, operational systems and controls, organizational improvement initiatives and change management.
JAMES CUNNINGHAM, EA
James Cunningham is a Partner at C&A. James earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Fairfield University and is enrolled at Harvard University pursuing his ALM Masters in Management. James’ professional career began in the corporate training and financial consulting division of the firm, where he was primarily responsible for organizational development, change management, process improvement, ISO implementation and management, and ERP implementation. James has practical experience, through working hands-on in the industry as the General Manager of a manufacturing facility for two years and has extensive experience in management in a manufacturing environment, process improvement, and employee development.
Bryan earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Elmira College. He completed his Master’s Degree in Finance from Harvard University earning the Dean’s List for Academic Achievement award. Bryan’s career includes several years of General Management, extensive business and financial analysis, and founding a real estate investment company. Bryan’s strengths are focusing on continuous process improvement, identifying key results needed for success, and concentrating on what matters most to an organization.
KEVIN MCMILLAN, ESQ

Kevin graduated from UMass- Amherst, and then Suffolk University Law School in 2013. Admitted to the Massachusetts BAR in 2013. Kevin paid for college working as a manufacturing technician at an aerospace components OEM, as well as working as a key member of his family’s tax preparation firm. After law school, he worked in the areas of Estate Planning and Business Law, but found his calling in higher level tax planning and helping small to medium size businesses grow. Kevin is able to apply his full breadth of skills to help organizations solve problems and operate at peak performance.
LIZA CUNNINGHAM, EA

Liza manages tax planning projects, tax resolution projects, quarterly tax accounts, and annual tax accounts. In addition to her focus on taxes, Liza is actively involved in providing top-level CFO financial support, implementing and streamlining financial systems and controls, performing inventory analyses, determining business valuations and training in various financial accounting software.
DEREK MORRISON, PMP

Derek has been tasked with overseeing Cunningham & Associates’ training projects with a focus on sales & marketing programs, management training, and operational systems implementation. Following his graduation from the University of Maryland with distinction, Derek began his career managing professional sales and recruiting teams before he joined Cunningham & Associates where he has partnered with over 100 small to medium sized businesses, primarily in an effort to identify effective marketing strategies with the support of structured management systems. While Derek’s core competency is in project management and organizational development, his true expertise comes in execution. As a Certified Project Management Professional, Derek excels in guiding our clients through effective planning and execution phases and focuses on getting the job done.
